Belmont Elementary School is located in Belmont, New
Hampshire, which is in the central part of the state in the Lakes Region. The school has
approximately 460 students in pre-school through grade four and 75 staff members.
Belmont Elementary School strives to create a highly integrated curriculum for our
students. Our exemplary staff members dedicate themselves daily to the establishment of a
learning environment that supports the intellectual, social, emotional and physical
development of the children. Academic units are developed which incorporate all subject
areas under specific topics. Fine arts, theater, dramatic performances, puppet shows,
music, dance and movement are incorporated into academic units in individual classrooms,
as well as on a school-wide basis. Through these artistic expressions of learning students
are encouraged to use higher order thinking skills. Our school also offers students many
co-curricular activities such as: Garden Club, Yearbook, Student Council, drama,
newspaper, computer club, basketball, volleyball and soccer. Students in third and fourth
grade may also participate in chorus and vocal ensemble. We have a school store run by
fourth graders where students can purchase supplies. Belmont Elementary has a nature trail
through the woods where we can teach children more about nature and conservation. We have
recently completed construction of an outdoor classroom, so that teachers may conduct
environmental science classes outside.
Belmont Elementary School is a wonderful place to learn and grow. The school is located
south of Laconia and north of Concord, New Hampshire. It is situated off Route 140, ¼
mile west of the intersection of Routes 140 and 106. Please visit us to experience our
enthusiasm for learning!
